Context

In contemporary footwear design, the intersection of performance and lifestyle is shifting. This project explores the narrative of high-performance materials adapted for the urban environment, bridging the gap between technical innovation and everyday utility.

User & Insights

Through ethnographic research of millennial commuters, we discovered a profound need for adaptive cushioning systems that respond to varying walking surfaces. The insight was clear: mechanical comfort must be visible yet refined to maintain a designer aesthetic.

Design Process

The iterative cycle involved over fifty rapid prototypes utilizing biological lattices and multi-density foams. Using parametric modeling, the outsole pattern was optimized for traction maps generated from pressure sensors, ensuring every line serves a functional purpose.
